Read how the day/evening went for Jesse below:

After coming out of a great weekend at Rushwick I was really excited to head to Monster Mountain for the first of a 3 round Championship. It was an action packed day of warm ups, qualifying and 2 sprint races to end off the day.

Free Practice – P4: I went out just to test out the track get a feel for the conditions find some nice lines. Lap times were good and I was feeling really great for the day ahead.

Free Practice 2 – P4: I started to pick the pace up and get comfortable with the bike put a nice few laps down ready for qualifying.

Qualifying – P3: Well if you’ve followed my journey so far you’d know I’m not usually too great at this bit. It started and you couldn’t write it the first lap round and the bike started spluttering and choking so I headed for the pits. Dad was waiting there he knew I had a problem so he checked the bike over and realised the breather pipes were clogged full of mud. He cleaned them out and I now had about 2 laps to get a good lap time down. I rung that throttle so hard for the next 2 laps and managed to get an amazing lap time and qualify in P3.

Heat 1 – P3: Came out of the gates without having the best start but I knew this was a short sharp unforgiving race where I didn’t have time to mess about. I made the charge, I was battling with another Big Wheel rider then a rider went down and that’s where I made the move and didn’t look back.

Heat 2 – P3: My start was so so bad (I really got to work on that) and I felt the pressure was really on but I made a silly mistake and the bike slid out I went down and winded myself. I got back on more determined not to let this race slip through my fingers I put the hammer down and raced back to P3.

I am so over the moon finishing 3rd overall in my class. This is my first Podium finish in the Big Wheel Class. By Gum it feels good. I can’t wait for the next round , but firstly I’m heading to the NORA92 British Cup at FatCat Moto Parc to have another great weekend and bring home some great results.

As always thanks to my amazing team NORA CRS and Coach Robb without you guys this wouldn’t be possible.
