Jesse headed down to Landrake Moto Parc last weekend for the annual NORA Motorsport Team Event. After being asked to compete for the Hampshire Youth Motocross Club alongside team mate Rafe Symons. All eyes were on the prestigious event to see who will come out on tops.
Read how the weekend went from Jesse’s perspective with his race report below.
This weekend I headed to sunny Cornwall for NORA Motorsport’s yearly team event. It’s a great event where all the clubs come together to see who becomes crowned Team Champions.
This year I was asked to ride for Hampshire Youth Motocross Club as their 85cc Big Wheel rider was unable to compete in the event.

I lined up on the gate for race 1. The gates went down unfortunately my gate and a few others didn’t go down so we got off late and on this track it’s really hard to catch back up when you take off last. I put in some good laps and times but I just couldn’t make up the lost time.
Race 2 I had a really great start the track had gotten really rough by this stage. Sitting mid pack I went to make a sneaky pass on the corner but clipped the back wheel of another rider and hit the dirt. I was disappointed I made a silly mistake which cost me a mid pack finish.
Sunday started off lovely and dry day, we went out for the the first race and I was pumped to get on the line. Got a great start kept moving up the pack I had the pace for a top 15 finish and I was pushing, heading after another rider however I made too tight of a turn and hit the post on the last lap and went down. It was a bit annoying but now I proved I can be up there if I stay on the bike.

The heavens opened and the track had become a mud pit by the next race. I actually really like racing on a wet track but this was little to wet. We all went of the line and it turned in to a slip and slide. All of us were fighting just to stay on our bikes and after the Battle of Landrake they called the race after 10 mins.
The event ended up being cancelled due to bad weather, I still had a great time on the track with the team I was riding for. We finished an amazing 2nd overall for the weekend. Can’t wait for next year. Thanks to NORA CRS and everyone that backs me.
