Read how the day went for Jesse below.

Coming out of a tough weekend at Brookthorpe, Jesse headed to Clearwell for a Practice Day on Saturday and a Championship Round with Cotswolds Youth & AMX Club on Sunday. Sunday Jesse headed out for practice and was putting in some good lap times ahead of the 3 race format set out for his day.

Race 1 – First gate drop and Jesse got off to a flyer heading out with the front runners. He looked great and full of the confidence he had lost the weekend before, but as the race went on we noticed he started to lose his pace and we dreaded the thought of another mechanical issue. He managed to hang on and get the bike home in 13th overall.

Got the bike back to the pits with chief mechanic dad realising the clutch had gone. We desperately tried to get another clutch but there weren’t any available on the spares van. One of our fellow riders gave us some bits to try get the bike through the day.

Race 2 – The start didn’t got to plan in fact it was dreadful so Jesse had a lot of work to do. The track was really dry and some really big ruts were forming but he got his head in the game and worked really hard to come back in 11th.

Race 3 – The third and final race of the day Jesse knew what he had to do and with a quick oil change in the clutch he went out to try and limp it through the race. This was by far his best start hitting the first corner in 3rd. As the saying goes he rode it like he stole it. The pace was fast the weather was hot and the clutch went pop yet again but he persevered and kept going he was getting in the top 10 this weekend. He hit the chequered flag in 9th.

It was a weekend of learning and growing for Jesse, he bought a 9th overall for the day with Cotswolds which should have boosted him up a couple of places in the Championship. Looking forward to the next few weeks of bike time with another round with Cotswolds then the NORA CRS Bootcamp and then on to the third round of the NORA92 British Cup.

Thanks to everyone who has my back week in week out!
